first form; intro! {video} (backdated to christmas day)
Hello Route. Look at your Pokemon. Now back to me. Look closely at what's on your screen. It's an Abra!
...why is there an Abra holding a PokeGear. Hmm. Listen closely to the speaker. Verrrry closely. Apart from the squeaking sounds of fresh, virgin snow being trodden on, and happy little "Abra!" sounds from the fox-like Pokemon, there seems to be something else....
Ah, yes. The sweet dulcet tones of one Ise Nanao, who, by the sound of it (if your eardrums weren't blasted by that yell) is chasing after that sassy little Abra who has her 'Gear. That sassy little Abra also jumped three feet into the air, sending the 'Gear flying in a wide arc, and eventually coming to a convienent landing in a nearby tree. All of route is then treated to the sight of a very flustered Nanao wrapped in a rather familiar haori chasing madly after the cheeky little fox. Cue yakety sax.
{ooc: Hello route! Feel free to reply, laugh, troll or do otherwise. :D Replies could come at any time.}

[Video] .....that would cause unbridled RAEG in anyone.
You should know I do not joke.
[Calm DOWN, woman. It's fine now.]
Exactly what I said. They were both here, in Johto, but they're gone now. They've somehow returned home to the Seireitei. [...an explanation is in order.]
Everyone in this place has one of these devices. When a persons signal disappears, it means they are no longer here to be contacted.
{Video} I'm thinking of calling it Shunsui...
My, ah, apologies... Taichou.
{And here's a return to the normal honorifics that you're used to! Which is always a good sign that she's regained control.}
Here, then gone? What kind of being are we at the mercy of..?
{She squints at the device - there seemed to be different functions, but she'd never been too good with technology.}
I see... However, I'm afraid that my.. Pokemon, is it? Knows more about the functions of this device than I do.
[Video] Well. At least the name will keep it.....manageable.
[Have a nod, Nanao. Keep your head and you'll be fine. Eventually. What's important right now is an impromptu lesson, or so it seems.]
There are three ways of contacting someone with this device. Video, Voice, and a Text function. All three channels can be locked to a certain person or broadcast to everyone that has a device. There should be further instruction in your handbook, but don't count on it making sense. [Lock codes, text codes, font codes...the hell if it makes sense.]/small>
{Video} She'll probably take out all of her pent-up frustration on it.
{Nanao nods herself, and then pulls out a red A4 book, and jots down the notes.}
I... see. When I reach the next settlement, I'll make a point to investigate those functions. {She smirks slightly} You do remember who my Captain is, don't you?
{Why does that sound familiar...}
[Video] Would not be surprised~
[Smart woman. ....aaaand how could he forget who her captain is.]
Kyouraku-taicho can be rather hard to forget. [For the sheer number of times he's gotten Matsumoto drunker than a skunk, at least. His battle skills aren't anything to sneeze at, either.]
{Video} lolol do you read the punchline is machismo?
{Of course she's smart. And pfft how did you forget?
Mm. He is... how do I put this politely rather unmissable. Usually by the scent of sake that clings to him like a second haori...
{agdhsj He. Never. Stops. Drinking. Ever. But his skills on the battlefield had saved her life more than once, and she could not let herself forget that.}
[Video] ....apparently, I do now. Hi, late Fishmas.
[It's been quiet, alright? It's easy to ignore people who aren't here..]
I doubt he would be quiet if he arrived, at any rate. We'd hear him coming. [Nearly a mile away, probably. ...unless he was being serious and actually trying to avoid them.
A person saving your life makes it easy to let some things....slide.]
{Video} PFFT yes another convert!
{She can understand that. Although it was anything at the point she was pulled from.}
You'd be surprised, Hitsugaya-taichou. {A wry tone? Why are you showing so much emotion, Nanao.} He can be silent... when he chooses to be. {Bluuuush. But she won't tell.}
In a place like this, however... I believe that he would not make contact unless he believed it was safe for him to do so. In some ways, he is incredibly cautious.
{He'd saved it six times, if Hitsugaya was to ask. And it made some things easier, yet otehrs... considerably harder.}
[Video] Yes, another convert.
[Iconface. Visible emotions, from her? Okay, that's a tiny little shock.]
I'll take your word for it. You know him better than I do. [And always will. He and Kyouraku are like oil and water, really.]
{Video} I'm getting good at that.
{Upon seeing that expression, Ise immediately returned to her default expression - iconface.}
Indeed! One hundred years... Has it really been that long?
{She's lapsed into a sort of thoughful silence.}
[Video] A very nice skill to have~
[There we go; there's the Ise he sort of knows. That is a nod, though. Kyouraku is a constant for someone so young; hell, much of the Gotei 13 is a constant for him. But they're marching to war now...]
It will be strange, when he retires.
{Video} ...should I ever wish to start a cult
{That face drops when retirement is mentioned}
Somehow... I think both you and I know that he won't retire.
When I left...
[Video] People swaying skills aren't just for forming cults.
[....they are more liable to die than retire. There goes his attempt at being optimistic, though it doesn't show on his face after he hears that second little bit.]
What was going on when you left?
{Video} but cults are fun!
{She's seen plenty of her comrades die over the years. Not good memories, those.}
Ukitake-taichou and Kyouraku-taichou were facing off against Yamamoto Genryuusei-soutaichou...
There's no guarentee that they'll survive, let alone win...
[Video]
[They never are. Even after years have passed, the deaths still haunt you.
A moment of surprise, then...]
They survive. A more pressing matter arose and required the Soutaichos attention. [He'll explain what that matter was if she asks. Or later. Later is good.]
{Video}
{She remembers each of their names. They were her squadmates, if not her friends...}
WHAT. How - what - why..?
{brb, on the edge of tears. She turns away quickly, but you may still hear a half-choked sob, and see a tear or two.}
Thank goodness... {Her voice is thick.}
[Video]
I can't say if they were injured or not, but I do know they survive that battle and the incident that occured and ended it.
{Video} jhdsadh comment FAIL
Th-thank you. Ah..
{She turns back to face him, and while her eyes are still glittery-bright with unshed tears, she has tried to compose herself.}
But... How do you know they survived?
[Video] where? /saw nothing
People here...can be brought from different time periods in our world. I know this because I'm from several months after the time you come from, and Matsumoto from later than I.
[....and that sounded a lot better in his head.]
{Video} GOOD imean what
That.. again, taichou, you're not making sense to me at all. That's paradoxical and not at all logical.
{It just didn't make sense.}
Time travel doesn't exist... Unless it does.
[Video]
According to all we know, this world, if not a part of The World of the Living, should not exist. And yet we're both here, solid and real. So why should some kind of time paradox not exist? [He knows his memories. She should know hers, so...]
{Video}
Yes... I suppose that vaguely makes sense... {She knows her memories, but Hitsugaya knows more than her, due to being in the future and arrgh.}
This makes my head hurt. {Blunt Nanao is blunt. Changing tack~!} Taichou, do you know how many others were pulled from their own separate space/time continuums?
{GEEK SPEAK IS A GO GO.}
[Video]
icon face for a moment, then a headshake]
Unfortunately, no. I don't doubt it has happened to others, but I haven't met anyone in similar circumstances. [Just one from an eeriely similar world.]
{Video}
Drat. I had hoped... Never mind. Yet, taichou. Yet. If what we have deduced is indeed correct, then I am surprised no one has, well... 'Changed the future', so to speak.
{Icon faace. Hello, Seireitei's second best poker face!}
[Video]
I doubt it's not for lack of trying. I've heard of people returning who don't remember being here before, even if they had been here for months.
