{Nanao's down on by the seaside on the south side of Goldenrod. With her are four Pokemon, one of which was originally hers, and one she bred. She's just sitting there, really.

Anyway, you think that's really that's really the case, that we're all going home? Just like that, without any say in the matter? I mean, it'd be nice to have a choice...

[ Hitomi is giving her new Ralts a tour of Goldenrod when she spots Nanao. She's a bit hesitant, not used to making the first approach, before she finds the courage to speak up. ]

Arah~... Have we met, perhaps?

[France is dressed warm for the winter weather and had originally headed down to the beach intending to give his Cecilia some time to herself to swim in the surf. When he spots Nanao, he makes his way over, a friendly smile on his face.]

[His expression becomes gentler as he comes to stand next to her, hands in his coat pockets.]

That would suggest that this very place is alive, then. Which is bizarre, but not entirely unheard of.

I didn't know that - but I suppose she might. Others have returned before.

That sounds like an accurate summation. But if this place is toying with us, does that mean it's alive?

Possibly. While disappearances are relatively normal, the sheer number of them suggest something very strange is happening.

A rather disturbing anomaly. Or perhaps it's a glitch? Oh, I don't like it, whatever it is.

Maybe. There are too many people disappearing for this to be anything but good.

{Nanao turns around, a little surprised.}

No, I don't think we have. But, it's a pleasure to meet you.

{She gets to her feet as he comes over, new Eevee still in her arms.}

{She scratches the little fox creature behinds the ears.}

I don't like what's happening. Not at all.

Alive? [He pauses, thinking this over for a moment.]

It's easy to think of it that way, and considering who I'm dating I wouldn't write it off completely, but I don't know. It certainly seems like there's something controlling all this.

I ended up with four new Pokemon, if that's what you meant.

This place has never given us a choice in what we want to do, unfortunately. Not in coming here, not in leaving. It seems harsh, but I suppose we just have to learn how to live with it.

Ah, I had forgotten about your partner for a moment. {Thinking back to Christmas.}

That book of legends you gave me - it referenced God-like Pokemon with the ability to warp space and time. Perhaps they are interfering?

[It's hard to walk on sand when you have crutches because they keep sinking in the ground. With his bad leg still in a splint, he clumsily makes his way over to Nanao.]

If that's the case, I'd be happy to go home, but at the same time I'd miss what friends I've made dearly.

[Atsuro's walking around with an Eevee and a Mightyena. One is his, hatched from an egg many months ago. The other...from a friend who left a while ago.]
