Well, at least the nausea's gone. And the headache's receded to a tolerable level. And I can mostly remember things. {She grimaces.} It's a pity my balance is still off, but at least that's not as bad as the light sensitivity. I really don't like that.

{She shifts about, and cocks her head to the side, listening to the sounds of the crowded streets, and she frowns a little.} I wonder what's going on... Well, no better time to ask.

Excuse me! {She calls out into the street, and miraculously, some poor man with blonde hair and a lovely purple yukata responds. Those who've faced the Ecruteak Gym might know him - it's the gym leader, Morty.}

Yes, ma'am, can I help you?

Thank you. Ah, I was wondering, what is the occasion today? There is so much hubbub, and since, well... {She gestures to her face, and smiles.}

No, that's no problem. Today is Tanabata - we always have a few street vendors out on this day.

Good day, sir. {He bows politely, she does too out of instinct, and he wanders off, and Nanao is left alone, sitting on the verandah of the Inn.}

Tanabata already..? Well now, that's a surprise. Another year has passed, and I've survived it.... just. {She raises a hand to her mouth, and chokes back a sob.} T-to think.... N-no. I'm not going back there. I'm stronger than that.

{She sniffs, straightens her spine, and brushes down the lap of her pale blue yukata.} I'm one hundred and thirty-seven today. I think that I shall enjoy my birthday this year, instead of hiding inside.

{She stands gingerly, reaching out a hand to the nearby wall of the Inn for support. Slowly, moving one foot at a time, she makes it back to her darkened room, the door thumps gently against something. Frowning, she slips inside, and removes the blindfold, letting her eyes adjust. And then she gasps.}

I - I - what. How did this - how are there so many - ? {She is, of course, talking about eggs, which are all over the room. Her Alakazam and Furret freeze, in the middle of putting an egg onto the bed.} I - I don't even know. Wow. Um.

What a birthday present. {Annnd the feed finally times out.}

Those? Well... {Her hands touch each of them in turn as she names the species. ~~And repeat customers yay!~~} This big blue one's a Lapras - and they hatch tiny, don't worry, this one's a Drifloon - the egg is actually so light that a breeze will blow it about, this silver egg is a Skarmory, and yes, Poliwag eggs are meant to be damp.

They'll all grow into fine Pokemon, don't you worry. ...actually, how's your Lunatone? You bought hir off me, didn't you?

Yes! Lunlinlin is doing fine! Lunlinlin gets along with Milinlin and Pink Moon and the rest of Saki's Pokémon!

Those all look really nice... I think Filly would like a Drifloon! It's purple like her hair. And the Skarmony is silver like Aki's hair!

That's good to hear, certainly. It's always nice to hear how my children's children are doing.

{She giggles.} Well, I suppose that's one way to decide which eggs you'd like.
