twenty-fifth form; Happy Tanabata + Git Yer Eggs Here~! {Video/Action for Ecruteak} (dated 07/07)
{When the feed clicks on, it's obviously been done by accident, as the first thing you'll see is a shot of Nanao's face - but she has a thick strip of cloth across her eyes as a blindfold, and she's talking to herself.}
Well, at least the nausea's gone. And the headache's receded to a tolerable level. And I can mostly remember things. {She grimaces.} It's a pity my balance is still off, but at least that's not as bad as the light sensitivity. I really don't like that.
{She shifts about, and cocks her head to the side, listening to the sounds of the crowded streets, and she frowns a little.} I wonder what's going on... Well, no better time to ask.
Excuse me! {She calls out into the street, and miraculously, some poor man with blonde hair and a lovely purple yukata responds. Those who've faced the Ecruteak Gym might know him - it's the gym leader, Morty.}
And yours, ma'am. Good day.
{She sniffs, straightens her spine, and brushes down the lap of her pale blue yukata.} I'm one hundred and thirty-seven today. I think that I shall enjoy my birthday this year, instead of hiding inside.

Yes, ma'am, can I help you?
Thank you. Ah, I was wondering, what is the occasion today? There is so much hubbub, and since, well... {She gestures to her face, and smiles.}
No, that's no problem. Today is Tanabata - we always have a few street vendors out on this day.
R-really? Well, thank you, sir. {Her surprised expression melts into a kind smile.} May your wish come true.
And yours, ma'am. Good day.
Good day, sir. {He bows politely, she does too out of instinct, and he wanders off, and Nanao is left alone, sitting on the verandah of the Inn.}
Tanabata already..? Well now, that's a surprise. Another year has passed, and I've survived it.... just. {She raises a hand to her mouth, and chokes back a sob.} T-to think.... N-no. I'm not going back there. I'm stronger than that.
{She sniffs, straightens her spine, and brushes down the lap of her pale blue yukata.} I'm one hundred and thirty-seven today. I think that I shall enjoy my birthday this year, instead of hiding inside.
{She stands gingerly, reaching out a hand to the nearby wall of the Inn for support. Slowly, moving one foot at a time, she makes it back to her darkened room, the door thumps gently against something. Frowning, she slips inside, and removes the blindfold, letting her eyes adjust. And then she gasps.}
I - I - what. How did this - how are there so many - ? {She is, of course, talking about eggs, which are all over the room. Her Alakazam and Furret freeze, in the middle of putting an egg onto the bed.} I - I don't even know. Wow. Um.
What a birthday present. {Annnd the feed finally times out.}
{{OOC: For those that claimed eggs here, this is the place to ICly collect them! Video replies will come while she's still in her room, but she'll be wandering the streets with her blindfold, staff and seeing-eye-Riolu later on if that works for you, or she can just be. Hanging around the Inn some more. And, last but not least, HAPPY TANABATA, GUYS!}}

However, despite her skills, and her father's love, she became very sad, and said to him, "Otou-sama, I work hard every day to make you these beautiful clothes, but I fear that because of my work that I will never meet and fall in love with someone."
And Tentei was worried by this, so he arranged for Orihime to meet Hikoboshi, a cow herder who lived on the opposite side of the Amanogawa. And when Orihime laid her eyes on Hikoboshi, and he his on her, they fell instantly and deeply in love, and they married soon after.
However, after their marriage, Orihime stopped weaving her beautiful cloth for her father, and Hikoboshi let his cows roam all over Heaven, and Tentei was not happy about this. So in his anger, he separated them, placing them on opposite sides of the Amanogawa.
Orihime became despondent at the loss of her soulmate, and cried to her father that she wanted to see him again, and Tentei was so moved by his daughter's tears that he agreed that they would be able to see each other on the seventh day of the seventh month of each year, if she worked hard and finished her weaving.
Orihime agreed, and set about her work with a renewed vigour, and completed it all by the set date. But, on that day, when they went to meet, there was no bridge for the princess to cross so that she could be with her husband!
She cried, and cried, and a flock of magpies came and asked her what was wrong. "There is no bridge!" She said, "This is the one day that I am permitted to meet my husband on the other side of the Amanogawa, but there is no bridge, and I cannot swim the river."
The magpies talked among themselves over this news, and then one turned to Orihime, and said "We will form a bridge for you, with our wings, so you may may meet your husband." She thanked them profusely, and did cross the river on their wings, and that is how the festival of Tanabata began.
However, if it is raining, the magpies cannot come, and the Princess must wait another year to see her love.

But why couldn't Orihime just escape with Hikoboshi somewhere else? That way, they wouldn't be separated anymore.
( video )
And since her father is the King of all the Heavens, I think he'd be able to see where they went.
