 - wonder what that thing is, should check it out on the 'Gear. {The 'Gear's camera clicks on as it's pulled out of a pocket, and after a bit of swirling in which the ground and sky mix weirdly, the picture resolves, and this appears, simply floating in the middle of the road, stock still.}

I've got no idea what it is - what do you think of it, Shinrai?

Ri! Riolu, lu. {The camera moves - she's circling the creature, slowly moving around it, behind it.} I don't know why the PokeDex function is so hard to ena -

{There's silence for a second, and then the 'Gear clatters to the ground, and all you can see are the trees, and the Riolu shrieks as it is picked up and thrown to one side, momentum arrested by a large bush. Nanao's voice is thin and high and quiet and scared, and she sounds absolutely terrified, like something is happening that should not be happening at all, something that should not be possible in this world.}

{Then the screaming stops, just as suddenly as it began, and Nanao's knees make contact with the ground, hard and painful, and her body falls forward, face hitting the ground with a unhealthy-sounding crunch. The skin of her temple splits open, and her glasses have cracked, and her eyes stare blindly at the camera.}

{After that, there is near silence, except for the sobbing of the baby Riolu as it drags itself back over to his mother, crying loudly. The Shedinja merely looks on, moving closer at one point. The Riolu braces itself, ready to endure an attack, but it backs away and disappears into the foliage, leaving Shinrei the Riolu oh so very alone.}

{OOC: Nanao's soul has been stolen! Feel extremely to rescue her, and any replies to the 'Gear will be made by a terrified Riolu. She's south of Ecruteak, in the vicinity of Routes 36 & 37, and her nightmare post will go up in a few days.}

{With a pained grunt, Shinrai lifts the 'Gear, showing a small stand of berry trees to the south of them, before it falls back down again.}

{Uh, she's bleeding on the face, and her head went 'CRACK' against the ground when she fell... She might have done something to her skull.}

{To demonstrate the sound, he claps his hands together, and produces a remarkably accurate sound of bone breaking. You miiight want to hurry.}

[Oh. Damn. Even if he doesn't understand Shinrai, Envy saw Nanao fall and he recognizes that noise very well. He's already pulling a Pokeball out of his bag to release Xerxes the Luxray.]

Juliet, over here. You saw where they are? [Juliet looks up from the video and turns to face Envy, before nodding.] You and Xerxes are going to get her. You'll be faster without me, right? [He grins, but it's not a very convincing one. The two Pokemon cry in agreement.] Xerxes, get her on your back and take her to the Center. Carefully. Got it?

[More nodding. Envy is just very glad that Pokemon understand human language well enough for commands like that. Juliet returns to the Pokegear.]

[We are coming to get you and your trainer. See if you can stop the bleeding in the meantime. It shouldn't take us too long.]
