fifth form; video/text/action for Violet City - 20/1
Nanao stood by the entrance to Sprout tower, breath steaming in the crisp air. Violet City was certainly more... traditional than Newbark and Cherrygrove in some ways, and so Nanao didn't feel too out of place, dressed as she was in her kimono. She'd been wearing it more than her shihakushou, that was true, but that was mainly because the linen shihakusou was simply not warm enough in this cold climate, whereas the multiple layers of the kimono were more than adequate to deal with the cold.
Sentarou peeked out from between the flaps of her haori, cradled against her trainer's chest, the little tadpole preferring to stay where it was warm, and squeaked, just loudly enough to get Nanao's attention. From where they were, they could see all of Violet City, from the gym, all the way down past the Pokemon Centre and on to the Inn - and it was a captivating view.
"Yes, yes, I know." Nanao could even see the pond where Hitsugaya-taichou had been unceremoniously nearly drowned by his evolving Golduck - and therein lay the problem. For some reason, she could not gather up the courage to walk down the hill, and meet her fellow Shinigami; for what reason, she didn't know, but it was the reason that she had taken up residence in the spartan environ of Sprout Tower, and had avoided all forms of contact for the last two days.
Now, though, it was time to break that fear, and march down there. She took in a deep, steadying breath, and set off.
"Here goes nothing." "Polii!"

{Video} that's a good idea :} asdhk soo kyuute *u*
Especially when one does so much for one's division... I know that Matsumoto would rather be boozing and napping than completing paperwork. {In fact, there's one riiight down her back - but time (here in johto) has healed that ache. mostly.}
{Video} yush~
That hasn't changed, even through being here. Though she's been...quiet lately. [Which is far from a good thing...]
{Video}
It would take a lot to change Matsumoto from her ways. Quiet? In what way, taichou? {That is very much not a good thing.}
{Video}
I've seen her around town, but she seems to have...withdrawn from using the network. [And it worries him slightly. She's rather talkative most days.]
{Video}
...hm. Maybe she doesn't like using the network? {Maybe something has happened to her...}
{Action} ...I obviously cannot brain if I switched that up. argh.
She's never shown dislike of it before. And I doubt her work ethic has changed at all over the time we've been in Violet.
{Action} it's ok bb! I messed up too, so we'll call it even?
...have any other Shinigami been here?
{Action} Yesh. Calling it even sounds great.
{Action} okay. And then I disappear for two days. soory!
Ichimaru... taichou? I - what? Sorry, Captain, but... Really? I - I had no idea....
{Action} No worries~
We spoke once, but after that I don't know where he went before his signal went dead.
{Action} For the rest of your days~ /breaks into song
Oh... I see. So, Matsumoto, you, and I are now the only Soul Reapers in all of Johto, correct?
{Action}
For the moment, yes. I'm not about to say it will always be like this.
{Action}... hakuna matata, captain. don't tell me you don't know it.
No - after all, one of us could...
I hate to say it, but one of us could disappear.
{Action} /knows it. ...vaguely.
Oh, Nanao, if only you could see the future. (http://freezetheskies.livejournal.com/2393.html)]People who disappear from this world seem to return home. I can't be sure, but...it might be better that way. If we all returned home.
{Action} it's the LION KING how does you not know it. :| /shuns
Nanao knows the future too~ when I have time, I'll be doing like a huuuuge post. maybe. saturday or smsth idk}I... figured that, too. And I am sure that it would be for the best if we returned home - even if it did mean the loss of our new friends.
{Action} Because I saw it once. When I was a toddler.
They would recover. We might find a way to visit someday, if this is a part of the World of the Living.
{Action} Then watch it again, obviously. Or youtube the songs.
I don't think they would. Especially those that have hatched under our care... {She bites her lip absentmindedly} Maybe, but I am loathe to inform Kurotsuchi about this place. You know what he would do.
{Action} /did just that
Perhaps not now, but with time they would. When they're older. [And that earns her a glance; oh, does he ever know.] Then we just don't tell him.
{Action} excellent. /hi-fives
That's true. Maybe. I can speak from experience that abandonment by a parental figure causes deep wounds. {If he knows what she's referring to, well.} Agreed. If I do end up returning, I will be sure not to speak a word of it to anyone.
{Action} /hi-fives
[Does he know what she's referring to? Not really, and he won't ask.]
They wouldn't believe us, anyway. It's too far-fetched to take seriously, even for our kind.
{Action} \o/
{And somehow she expected that he wouldn't comment. It had happened a long time ago, after all.}
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Ukitake-taichou probably would; and Kyouraku.... He knows I wouldn't lie about something like this.
{Action}
They would, but others...I doubt it. It Matsumoto spreads it around when we get home, they'll think it's no more than a drunken delusion.
