What has it been, a year and... eight months? Well, seven. And yet I have aged three years in that time. {A sigh.} It’s good to know that this place makes as little sense as ever.

Not necessarily. I know of a few people who most definitely not anything even remotely human before they came here.

I can't say I'd ever thought of the kobolds or lizard clan as especially "fancy", but...

I think everyone does, to be honest.

Even so, two warriors of different races can be equally matched, while two humans can be far from it, so why make everyone human?

It seems rather arbitrary.

There may be some sort of system, but as to how it works? Nobody knows.
