6th book; up a creek without a boat or paddle {video/action} (dated to the 10th)
{So, how bout those hideous weather conditions? Pretty bad time to be at the beach, don't you think?}
{Isn't it a pity that Nanao's house is literally just next to the beach... And the feed shows her staring despondently at the waves lapping at the top of the hastily-erected sandbag wall in front of her porch. A baby Absol is curled on her lap, whimpering unhappily.}
I suppose that even I know when it is more prudent to retreat than to keep fighting.
{Wheeling back inside, it seems that most of the movable furniture has been taken upstairs, but the upright piano sits defiantly in the middle of a bare room. Too big to be taken upstairs, and too unwieldy to really be moved, there is little chance of it surviving the flood. The light flickers overhead.}
I would really appreciate a hand in leaving, given that I'm stuck in a wheelchair, and my lone Water-type is too young-- {A massive crash of lightning rattles the windows, and the light finally gives up the ghost and dies, leaving the room dark.} ...well.
Help would be wonderful, the sooner the better.
{OOC: She'll be replying to video tags ICly an hour later, but action tags would be absolutely fabulous c:}

[action]
{There is something right there in front of her door}
{And it isn't sounding friendly}
Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum....
{What do you do when faced with a god? You pray.}
[action]
[Especially because something soon draws up to the windowpane and snorts a big cloud of steam all over the glass. But even through the fogged-up window, a pair of glowing eyes are visible.]
[Even legends are curious.]
[What silly human lived here in this dwelling so foolishly built next to the sea?]
[action]
{She can't say anything. That is a Pokemon, and it is nothing like what she has ever seen before.}
{But it is one she has read about.}
Rai....kou?
[action]
[Curling its upper lip over its teeth in a distinctly catlike way, it squints, rubbing its blunt snout on the window curiously (and leaving cloudy nose trails all over it in its wake-- congratulations. This window is now blessed with Legendary snot).]
[It sees you in there, human! Oh, and you're cowering in the back! Very nice, very nice. It's good to see some humans know how to properly show respect. Kids these days!]
[action]
{Also Arceus, that thing really is several varieties of terrifyinghdsbfsd}
Are.... you looking for something?
{NANAO WHAT ARE YOU DOING I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU AT ALL}
[action]
[NOT REALLY.]
[But it's still curious. Some fool human (or more-- Raikou had a hard time believing that its northern brother had allowed itself to be snared by just one) had captured Suicune.]
[None of them had seen much of the humans of late, and while Raikou highly doubted Suicune was hidden in a closet in this house somewhere, it was still somewhat worth investigating.]
[In the interest of making sure this human maintained her respectful demeanor, Raikou bared its teeth further and let out a thunderous growl.]
[action]
I - I'm sorry! Please don't... {Eat me? Smite me?} Injure my partner.
{Still a mother at heart, even when being threatened by a god.}
[action]
[Ah, the Pokemon at her side.]
[Raikou cocks its head to the side, peering at the woman and her cowering Pokemon for a moment or so. It would be incorrect to say that Pokemon faces are not expressive-- but Raikou is a creature so old and primal that there is very little expression on its face to read apart from a cold, feral calculating look. Whatever is going on inside its head is impenetrable from behind those gleaming eyes.]
[action]
{It reminds her a little of a Zanpakutou spirit; that weaponised extension of a Shinigami's soul. Certainly, the literal aura of energy surrounding it was familiar - even without her ability to sense the strength of it, it quite literally took her breath away.}
{Legendaries are called that for a reason, she supposes.}
[action]
[Well, one thing was for certain.]
[If this human cared about Pokemon, it likely was not the one who was keeping the blue brother locked away.]
[Without so much as a flip of its puffy tail, Raikou turned abruptly away from the window and trotted lightly off across the floodwaters, leaving a few crackles of static electricity and trails of Legendary Snot on the window in its wake.]
