2nd book; do the baby elephant walk {Video/Action for Route 46}

{So this time around, Nanao wanted to actually explore Johto, instead of making straight for the cities and towns. So it is for that reason that she's headed up onto Route 46 - that, and she heard a rumour about elephant-like Pokemon.}

Well, the PokeDex did say they were quite rare...

{She's sitting on the ground, bag beside her, eating an incredibly juicy blue berry which is slowly staining her mouth blue with every bite and leafing through the hand book, occasionally adding notes to it. Early morning colours still streak the sky - it can't be much after seven am.}

{It also appears that Cassandra has accidentally activated the 'Gear again.}

Then, it also did say that we'd have the best chance of finding one in the morning. {Cassandra chirps merrily, and Nanao laughs a little.} Well, with your Ability, there's no chance of me sleeping through the morning, is there?

{The little bird preens vainly, and there seems to be some sort of blue shadow sneaking up behind them stealthily.}

We might have to look all day. The odds aren't terribly good that we'd find one right away, and knowing my luck... {She laughs, and a trunk slowly sneaks forwards, aiming to grab that delicious half-eaten berry... Closer... Closer..! The Natu stops preening, and instead stares at it.}

Cassandra? What is it? {There's a long and slender trunk poised above Nanao's shoulder, just ready to strike - and she slowly turns her head to look.}

{The ensuing shriek sends flocks of Spearow, Hoothoot, and Pidgey into the air, and was probably audible from Olivine. Naturally, the feed is also knocked off.}

{When the feed clicks back on, there's a tiny little blue and red elephant calf cuddling up to Nanao, eating berries right out of her hand. Nanao is smiling like all her Christmases have come at once.}

I suppose all's well that ends well, little Hannibal.

{She (yes, she) stops eating long enough to let out the squeakiest trumpet, and then resumes eating. And that's where the feed clicks off for the second, and final time.}

[Shriek heard all the way to Olivine? Maybe. But it was certainly audible just outside Violet...even if this guy only heard it over his Gear. And worried and fretted. And contemplated not waiting in Violet and instead going after her.

But then the feed came back on and she was fine and he felt a migraine coming on. Really? Why was he worried again?]
