Where on earth have I ended up this time? {Have one rather annoyed Shinigami staring at her surroudings of rock and snow in bewilderment.} I had completely forgotten about this... glitch, for want of a better word.

{She freezes, and slowly turns to look behind herself. There's a small girl with black hair, and oversized glasses, and a woman dressed in Victorian clothes, who looks to be close to Nanao's height. Actually, she's exactly Nanao's height.}

No... This can't be - how is this happening?!

E-excuse me, Miss Vicecaptain, but where are we?
And who are you, anyway?

{She blanches, and stumbles back a few steps. When she speaks, her voice is weak, and trembling.} Y-you're in Johto. And... you're both me.

{OOC: Yes I am indeed aware that this post is the latest of the late, but the idea wouldn't leave me. In case you were wondering, the girl and the woman are Nanao as a child Shinigami and her human self, respectively.}

[Envy's just been getting glitched all over the place, so it figures he'd wind up where Nanao is at some point. He starts heading towards her as soon as he sees her, thinking that he'd say hi and commiserate about what the hell, Johto and hopefully not get teleported anywhere else. Until he gets closer, anyway.]

[The child he recognizes, both from the last time this happened and from the Shedinja incident. He's not sure about the other woman, but that is at least two Nanaos in front of him.]

Nanao? Is that...?

{All three of the women turn towards him when Envy speaks, two because of the familar name, the other out of curiosity.}

Yes, Envy, they are... me.

{BB!Nanao looks him over, narrowing her eyes behind her glasses. The woman, however is a mite more confused.}

[At what Nanao says, Envy is visibly surprised. The child he guessed already, but the other woman...he'd noticed the resemblance, but he's pretty sure he knows what Nanao's getting at. So he nods to her, giving her a questioning look in the process, before turning to the other two with a polite smile.]

Nanao is the woman you're standing next to, she's a very good friend of mine.

{Nanao will move over to Envy's side slowly. The child looks confusedly down at her own hands, up at Nanao, and then back down at her own hands. She is silent as she considers what he said.}

Well, I...

[He trails off, uneasy. How does he even answer that question? He's not really comfortable lying or telling the truth, it doesn't feel like his place to do either. He nudges Nanao's side lightly with his elbow, tilting his head to the side and jerking it in the universal symbol of 'maybe we should go talk over there where they can't hear us'.]

Pardon us, ladies. We need a moment.

{She smiles, and moves away a little. If you've got any questions, Envy, this is your time to ask.}

[Don't worry, he will definitely be using this time to ask questions. And while his voice and expression still have an uneasy edge to them because past selves showing up seems like Bad News as far as his experience goes, he's keeping his voice down.]

That's you when you were human, isn't it?

Yes, it is - but Envy, I don't even remember my own name. Those memories are incredibly fuzzy after over a century.

{She glances back worriedly.} I'm... not scared, that's not the right word, but something's wrong. This shouldn't be happening.

It could be because of what's been happening. It's like the last time we all lost three days, nothing seems to have to make sense anymore.

[He glances back to where the other two Nanaos are, frowning. He's worried about his deadsis.] Do you feel any different?

Great... Just what I need.

{She shakes her head.} Thankfully, no. I'm just really confused at the moment.

[With his powers back for the time being, Hitsugaya's been making the rounds and making sure there aren't any unforeseen issues from their world leaking through, so it's no surprise that he finds his way to Nanao sooner or later. What is a surprise is what he sees there with her...or rather, who.

"Both me." The child he can understand, no spirit comes through as a full grown adult. But the woman...there's only one person she can be, and this isn't exactly good. Past lives aren't supposed to come back. Not like this. This can't be right.]

Ise. I suggest you get back.

{Nanao looks over at him, and shakes her head.}

Captain, they're not a threat. I of all people would know.

{But the woman stands silent, just looking on in bewilderment.}

[...Just...ignoring the young comment. He got worse back home.]

Perhaps not when it comes to bodily harm, but they may cause trouble just by being here.

[Not yet making a grab to pull her back, but...that could happen soon. Also, keeping an eye on those two. Very much so.]

That is a possibility - but it is one I desperately do not want to be true.

{The woman is by now getting rather annoyed, and takes a few steps forward.}

Just because you do not want something to be true does not make it false--
